The Georgians were such friendly people. We’d get invited to a lot of dinners and stuff like that whenever we weren’t in the field.

We provided support to Nino Burdjanze’s team during the presidential transition. She had to go to a lot of challenging places and we were pretty concerned she was going to be taken out bc we knew there were Russian infiltrators / agitators in a lot of the towns we had to travel to at the time.

Supported some McCain meetings with Shevardnadze. I always wanted to meet Pres. Saakachvili but never at the right place at the right time. Most of our crew did though. Similarities with Zelenskyy. Except he had a fair amount of political experience before that.

Zelenskyy has just blown me away with his leadership ability. Really impressed.
