Way over my head, but I’m just wondering how everyday Russians will pay for

Things when required to use electronic transactions.

I just hope that the overwhelming wave of anti- sentiment won’t be against the US / anti-American sentiment. From the Russians I met in Russia, they all were just tired of being poor and wanted to make money however they could- it was really capitalist-oriented.

There were a lot of Russians in Georgia that hated Georgians, after the Georgians fought for their independence. Definitely a lot of anti-Georgian sentiment, which was used to supposed the ‘08 incursion.

Ukraine WAS the original USSR, and I think they were maybe more similar and influenced by the Russians (and geographically closer to the Moscow SOI) whereas Georgia had a completely different culture, religion and language (Ukrainian DNE Russian, I know, but they seem to be more similar).

I met up some Russians and Ukrainians last month and they all felt that while Putin was crazy, he would never invade. I don’t think any of us understood or even knew about the whole energy play going on.

I don’t think Russians in general have an anti-Ukrainian sentiment. That’s why I think anything negative will be directed against the US/ America. We’re basically taking their money and hurting everyday Russians financially, and at the same time, my guess would be the majority already hating Putin before this war.
