It’s all about stopping transition


Coaches have all learned that scoring efficiency is way higher on turnovers and fast breaks. Teams are all doing more switching on screens and versions of the pack line defense. Restricting movement and being more physical.

It was more fun to watch when the game was fast and wide open. But it’s hard to do that the way everyone is playing now.

Meanwhile the NBA is going the opposite direction, it’s all pace and space. But it’s even uglier because teams miss 60% of their shots.
