That sounds about the size of the one I turned into a bush by accident. It
Has been a few years but I think the diameter was about 7”. I know it’s what forced my hand to tackle the job. If I had waited any longer I would’ve needed to hire someone to take it down. Truth be known it was a little risky making that last cut that was above my head so be careful. Funny story when I was shopping to buy a chainsaw to tackle the job. I talked to a guy at a local Sthil chainsaw shop. I told him the size of the tree I wanted to cut down and he said he wouldn’t sell a chainsaw to a first time user who wanted to do that. I laughed it off & bought it at another store but when you’re up in the tree making that last cut above your head it’s a little risky. I realized that store owner knew what he was talking about. I tried to be cautious by wearing a hard hat & I was tied off in the tree but it was still a risk. Everything was easy until the last cut above your head and that’s when you realize the risk you’re talking so I’ll say it again, be careful.
