It is fun, especially the PRs and stuff..


if you go out for a fairly ambitious ride, say 20 or 30 miles you'll run across dozens of them and you get back home and if you felt good that day you might get some PRs (or 2nds or thirds) a little gold cup (or silver or bronze) get a couple of each even.

Again just finished the 41 miles in MD and this was the first time I noticed a segment like that so, don't know if there would be trail segments or not on the AT, I just use Strava to see how many miles total I hike that day. Sorta useful.
