The short answer is no, but

I keep thinking about it. and that's not doing the whole AT but doing the next step, eg, maybe doing a three day 40 mile hike. Even that's pie in the sky right now but I can project a little, if I enjoy that, why not a week trip? or two? But that's all an inductive process, I might not enjoy being out on the trail for a couple weeks and in fact, really enjoy my day hikes right now, crunching along in snow by myself on a chill daybut getting back to my warm bed.

For the record, I did hike a couple weeks back in the 70s - actually starting in Front Royal heading back to VT - so I do know what it's about. I could see myself doing in over the years but that would require some 100 or 200 mile chunks but again, it's all very hypothetical right now. I did wander into an REI and try on some packs a few weeks ago. Just for fun. '^)
