No, no no, day hike. I'm back home.

That was the plan, beat myself up, and chill while it rained. and chill is an understatement, I feel pretty good hiking wise, but boy, can't stay warm this morning, used up my adrenaline I guess.

I just use Strava to track miles and that's more when I ride a bike, eg, see if I can't get 1K in this year type stuff or get 20 miles in on a day. But Strava - basically riders themselves - has these little leaderboard for segments of the road eg "From Bob's Creek up to the top of Sunset Hill" and more than not they're not very long, basically sprint times and with them all the best times over the years. and there are lots of them, one on the hill right outside my house in fact.

The Appalachian Trail one surprised me, hadn't seen any segments before but apparently it must be a thing to run up to Raven rocks, in fact, three different segment were set up and by golly by hiking it in January I'm at the top for this year. There are about 400 times total for over the years. there I'm like 300 something, not great, but I guess a select crowd. There are people that run the entire state of Maryland AT trail ~ 41 miles I think, and do it in roughly 17 hours or so, this was probably for that crowd rather than hikers. So yeah a score but on individual short sections, not like the hike I did from High Point to Raven Rock Road or anything like that. Again, it's more of a sprint thing for runners.
