Young and Fu. We are seeing lots of close losses for VT. Is it bad luck? Is it Young? Is Young like Fu who is a coach that is more than being snake bitten, but a guy who has a knack for losing like Fu?

The answer imo is.No. We dont have the go to guys down the stretch. We don't have guys thst want the ball in their hands in the clutch, and are ready to put a dagger into the opponent. Because of this, it's not Young. Young is solid. You can look at his decisions, use of timeouts down the stretch, clock management, in game adjustments over the past 3 years that clearly show he's pretty dang good. It's a player personnel problem and specifically, not having the type of players that are clutch/want the ball in the last 4 minutes of the game.

With Fu, the tell-tale signs were there early on with his clock management, timeout use, in game decisions that suggested major problems, or to be more specific, the problem being HIM. This isn't the case with Young. The coaching decisions over 3 years are actually pretty solid which point away from HIM as the problem with these close losses. Only my opinion. Guys,, I know this is the football board, so it should have been on the Hoops board. Cut me some slack though, it's freakin January and nothing is going on.
