Are you talking about HOA? There has to be something

in the contract....the problem, from my limited experience, is the good ole Monopoly term of 'assessments'. Like if you live in a condo, and a hurricane comes through and destroys the roof, then all tenants have to share the cost to replace said roof.

I would ask for details on why the cost is going up first...then figure out who runs the HOA and how they are calculating that..
