There should be financial incentives to stay at the school. Let me give you

an example.

One thing that I find hypocritical is that coaches can bolt, but players until recently could not. And even today, I think we all see easy transfer rules (player movement) as a problem for the game. So here is something I suggest. If a coach leaves before his contract is up to go to greener ($$$) pastures, part of the buyout money should go to the players left behind. For example, let's say a head coach has 50 scholarship players on the current roster that he recruited and signed. Let's say he bolts and the buyout is $10 million. I say, split the money down the middle between the school and the players. The school gets 5 mil, and the players 5 mil. In this scenario, the 50 players would each get a 100k if they stay and finish their careers at the school.

Take the 5 mil and split it between the players that STAY. Reward them for loyalty. It is also the right thing to do as the players are probably hurt more directly by a coach leaving than any other group of people.

Player movement to me ruins sports leagues. People want to fall in love with players, not just "root for the colors". They also want people and players that are true to the school and aren't just guns for hire.
