A search shows that the statin subject on prevention is changing frequently


She might be able to get her doctor to give her a copy of the treatment protocol statement that explains what he or she is doing in this case. They are generally rules-based and appears that establishing she is ruled high CV risk on measurements, history, and tests makes her a candidate for a statin. Start out with one of the weaker statins instead of Lipitor/Atorvastatin to lessen side effects. Our primary doctor was far too aggressive in dosage and medication, which had to be dialed back by the ER doctor who saw her.
