I believe that guidance has changed again.


I've been on statins since I was 25 or so. Completely genetic in my case. I remember what you're talking about, think it was around 2014-2015 or so, and my doctor took me off of them for a few years as I have no other risk factors. I think there was a lot of misinformation and misleading claims regarding statins in the medical community that since got clarified or cleaned up. Went back on them around 2018 or so as doctors started prescribing them again for preventive measures.
