Five stars are nice but there aren't that many

I haven't seen a five star recruit who wasn't athletically gifted but most would agree that Marcus Vick was and is a dummy. It looks like there are at least three recruiting services and they each have their own five stars. It looks like there are under 50 per year. I still contend that a team is built with three and four star players and that RECRUITING RANKINGS ARE BS!!!!!!

I think Tech should focus on Virginia and maybe out-of-state areas within a four or five hour drive. It probably makes sense to recruit in states with an ACC team. New Jersey is a good state since there is only one FBS program. Virginia has the twelfth largest population so there is still a lot of talent. JMU, Liberty, ODU are all ramping up their football programs so there is more competition for the in-state talent. Florida is now more competitive with the rise of UCF, USF and FIU.
