You likely won't be able to sell the house without replacing it ...


and I doubt the cost will drop anytime soon. I had that done under the Dupont settlement in my first townhouse in 1996 (I think). Fortunately it was amazingly quick - the pipes were replaced in literally one day. It took another day and a half for the painters to repair the drywall and paint but I was shocked at how quickly we were in copper.
