having an animal that will love you. As puppies, they love to chew everything and they will overeat and get fat if you are not careful with their diet and exercise. I get accused of loving my current dachshund more than my wife or kids (it's very close). He is 9 years old and his personsaility is so cool. He gallops in the park like Pepe Le Pew and is happiest dog you will find. Dachsunds are loyal as hell almost to the point of being like a jealous wife. If I am more than an hour late getting home mine will rake his dog food into the water bowl to make a complete mess to express his displeasure. We also own a Yorkie, which I do not much care for because they think they run the house and if you ever have one get outside without a leash good luck catching them before traffic will take care of them. I chased a Yorkie for almost 2 hours through the neighborhood one time. Yorkie's are also just assholes by nature. This evening my dachshund is on the couch by my leg on his back wanting me to scratch his chest and the Yorkie jumps on the couch puts his front feet on the dachshund's belly to jump to the back of the couch. The dachshund let out a mean growl, which I would have loved to have heard in english.
