From "insiders" here and on 247. The buyout wasn't the reason Fu is still here now.

I'd assume options were assessed- and Fu was the best option.

I don't believe his ousting is the best decision. Obviously, a toss up among the various member factions.

Basically, in my mind - if money weren't the issue at 10 mil. Then how could this staff not improve if that 10 mil were to go towards perhaps OC or line coach upgrades. Bare minimum I think some analysts and a QB coach.

We want top 15, reasonably I think that's where we can be consistent. Yet, don't have a top 15 budget. Especially amongst the assistants and staffing budget.

All things figured in - I don't think Fu, or staff in general, is the weakest link. Imperfect, sure! Could be better, sure!

With the current fundraising campaigns and commitments - that needed to happen pre Fu tbh - finally getting resources thay are much needed into the program. Looks to be paying off with the upswing in recruiting thus far. Maybe will pay dividends come seasons in with changes that couldn't be made in past seasons.
