I also am not a big fan of the Plan B vs Plan A argument...if I like a kid who is unranked and Im iffy on a kid who is highly ranked, who is Plan A? Who is Plan A to the fans?

I dont gather that the staff as a whole was very high on Tyrell Ward (he wouldve been nice, and his connection with MJ was great) and his fit within the system. I do think Tyler Nickel was one of if not THE top players on their board though. So has VT missed on 2 Plan A guys there, or just one?

VT went all out for Sean Pedulla and were a little reserved on Carter Whitt...Whitt was ranked higher...who was the Plan A guy?

In terms of "Plan A" guys VT has lost so far, Id only count Nickel. I dont think the staff felt great about their chances with Justin Taylor, but he wouldve obviously been "Plan A" had he actually wanted to come to VT.

If VT loses out of Huff, I think thatll be a "Plan A" loss, but one Ive expected would happen for a long time.

Judah Mintz, Dug McDaniel, Otega Oweh, Jayden Epps, Justyn Fernandez, Ryan Dunn, Cameron Corhen, Alphonso Billups, DeAnte Green...all these players have been in the top 100. All of them VT has been involved with. None of them were VT priorities.

There are also some guys in the top 100 (or late developing top 100ers) who will just be waiting to decide and dont make their lists public.

How many people knew VT was in it for Eric Dailey until he made it public?

I dont get the hand wringing over VT basketball recruiting. Youre going to lose 90% more than you win. I would simply watch who VT prioritizes with visits and their social media to get a better clue who the prospects are they want (and even then, theyre not going to blast out someone they want to keep quiet)
