I believe we are saying the same thing. Maybe different way?

I wholeheartedly agree it’s not about rankings. I was speaking about high rankings, which many fans tend to associate good recruiting with “4 stars”, “top 100”, etc. I don’t. I was just pointing out that MY’s (highly respected) projected starting 5 is a testament that his recruiting is not about high rankings, but that he has built and continues to build competitive teams with players that fit his system, irrespective of player rankings.

What MY did at Wofford impressed me greatly. At the time Whit hired him, many of our fans were worried he might not be able to recruit. But, his more recent Wofford record said to me he was a really good recruiter (and coach), which excited me about what he could potentially do for our program. Three years in, our current roster only has one “top 100” recruit (Maddox) who will figure into the regular rotation most likely coming off the bench. In fact, we had two leave after last season (Bamisile, Cone), knowing they would be behind the other players if they stayed here. Nolley, a 4 star, didn’t fit, and went for a better fit for himself at Memphis.

So, my point being, I totally agree with you it’s not about ranking. I was only supporting that our current team is a model of that.
