but, before we leave this topic think about this. These large national, neutral site games you envision are essentially the counter to the CBS/SEC 3:30 deal correct? For arguments sake they may be able to come up with 20 such games? That works out to more than one game a week which means they have to find an additional time slot or split the national broadcast. Everybody acknowledges the $300 million ABC/ESPN paid for 12 games was a premium. Works out to be $25MM per game. Now the fun begins, a split national with $25MM per game will not work and cutting it in half is probably too much. If we use 80% that puts it at $20MM per game times 20 games get you to $400MM total. Split that 36 ways and you get a little north of $11MM per school. I doubt that rings the bell for Ohio State, Penn State, Michigan, Clemson and others who would be the teams needed to make that package fly. Tell me what I am missing or misinterpreting.
