I take your point, particularly on the raucous atmosphere front. That said, we'll have one guy, Ty Chandler, who will be the best back on the field (now that Herbert is gone) and who has played in big SEC atmospheres that are at least as intimidating as Lane Stadium's. He's not as good as Williams; however, reports are that there's no drop off from Carter to Chandler. I don't think Chandler will be rattled.

We run a two-back system, so where the first game jitters are most likely to show up is with our second back. We'll see. A good rushing game for us on 9/3 would be something in the 150 yard ballpark, considering who we lost. No question there will be a drop off, and UNC is likely to rely on Howell's arm more in that first game, but if we can get 150 yards out of our backs AND pass protect, that'll be a successful outing for our RB room.

I think VT's RB situation is just as interesting as ours. Herbert was a really good back. Who among Blackshear, Holston, and King will replace that production? Is there a freshman you're expecting to be good?
