Well, I sure hope not.

The ACC has let this pot simmer for ten years and it should never have been fired up in the first place. I think Notre Dame is a fine institution, but they are not good for any conference with their exceptional statutes to be associated.

I do not think any of the Big-12 work for the ACC, apples and oranges. That includes WVU.

The bigger issue is by the time the ACC gets around to doing something there very well might not be anything left to pick through. The rumor mill in the Big-12 says expansion discussion is a lit up conversation every day - as it should be.

If the Big-12 stabilized and added enough members from the AAC to get to 16 - a given in this new world we are headed into. That pretty much means anyone who is worth even a little is going to be taken by the time the ACC starts giving it some thought. UCF, USF, Cincinnati, BYU, Memphis, Boise State, Houston, and SMU are likely to be considered if not taken by the Big-12. That does not leave much to consider and I already covered that short list further up.

The Pac-12 is probably has to consider Colorado State, San Diego State, Fresno State, UNLV, New Mexico ??? Pretty bleak.
