The ACC is still stuck on Notre Dame. So long that is the case, any talk of adding someone else is moot. Notre Dame sucks up all the air in the room on this topic.

I am aware that Notre Dame is contracted to join the ACC for football if it joins anyone but we have all seen the value of such contracts when an institution decides a new course is in it's best interest. When Notre Dame sets down at a conference it will be the Big-Ten. They know it, the Big-Ten knows it, they both just ignore the fact.

But, until the ACC treats Notre Dame like the contract says too, in all sports except football, it is not going to add any one else. Once they get past that, they can add 15 and 16 and if anything happens that Notre Dame does come in in the future, deal with that then.

Frankly, are there universities that add to the ACC that the ACC actually wants? The ACC does not want WVU or UConn, nor it seems either UCF or USF or even ECU. So who?

What do they do add JMU and Old Dominion? I don't see anyone out there that they have a reasonable chance to pull in that makes any sense. You are not going to get any Big-12 teams, they can't afford to leave the Big-12. Likewise, any Pac-12 teams, same thing. No one is leaving the Big Ten or SEC. Who does that leave? I doubt Temple or Buffalo or Marshall sets anyone's heart on fire.
