In same hearing, Texas President: Texas explored joining the ACC and B1G


He said they studied it internally, but did not reach out to either. He did not mention PAC12.

He also said if they stayed in the Big XII he wasn't expecting as much payout as currently with Big XII media renewal. Thought to be able to match current would be a win for the Big XII. Bowlby was sitting behind him making looks that could kill.

I'm not where I can link the tweets, but it's got reporters tweeting his comments. One state senator asked him, "You've gone 3-7 against TCU. Are you wanting to go lose to Alabama now?" Thought that funny.
