Nope, it would just need some tweaking

CFB is moving towards the NFL model. Highlight big rivalry games and cross over games. Then layer on the playoff picture in the back half of the season.

Then the playoffs are almost like a second season. It has been very profitable for the NFL and it will be for college as well. All this noise is just moving the pieces around to make that model easier and less conference based.
