Side note: my problem with the old systems were that it kept undefeated D1-A teams out of contention for its own championship. No other sport does this. But I was always of the school that if a G5 team loses a game, then all bets are off. And in a way, I feel the same thing about P5 schools that lose a game. Once you lose a game, you are putting your destiny in the hands of the committee. So if you are 11-1 and think you got "robbed" for being excluded, I don't want to hear it. But if you are undefeated and left out, then you have a beef. With this new system, there will far less of this.

Overall, the new system is a trade off. Things to like about it. Things to regret about it.
