I read 'Personal Finance for Dummies' when I was in my 20's and it was ...


worth every second. It is primarily common sense stuff but if you follow their guidelines regarding budgeting, paying yourself first, investing early for the long haul as well as (generally) bad decisions to avoid (leasing cars, churning cars/houses, investing in high-fee funds, reverse mortgage loans, borrowing against 401k, etc) you will be fine. Budgeting and not overspending are the biggest keys IMHO.
