I rather enjoyed it.


I enjoy movies where I have to fill in the blanks by using my inferencing skills. So figuring out what was going on with Earth and who that little girl really was didn’t bother me in any way.

George Clooney played Tom Hanks playing my brilliant brooding brother-in-law brilliantly.

My only quibble was with the happy, jolly astronauts. They were on a freaking serious mission to find a habitable place to seed the human race as it tumbled toward annihilation, yet they were so damn chirpy. Plus, “Sweet Caroline” makes my skin crawl like Lee Greenwood’s only song.
