The app/service is called YouTube TV and is a different app from YouTube.


If not on your smart tv or available for download on your smart tv, you will need to get a streaming device such as Roku.

I much prefer a separate device for streaming such as Roku over a usually more cumbersome and slow smart tv.
I have used and recommend both Roku and now an Apple TV. Apple TV is great if you are already deep into the Apple world, otherwise Roku is cheaper, easier to set up and works very well.
