I kinda have the same issue. Although, it has gotten better. Mine would


buffer randomly and often during a sports event and then when it would come back on it would be zoomed in like 150% and always zoomed to the left corner of the screen. Again, this would only happen with sports. The only way to fix it was, as you said, change the channel and change it back.
One of the comments on the help site said to change from "auto-detect" for the video and just select a setting. This helped at first for about a week, but then it did it again. So that's not a fix-all. It also doesn't seem like Hulu tech people actually know what the problem is or how to fix it because they haven't responded to any of the forum questions about the issue. That said, I didn't have any issues watching sports all day/weekend this weekend.
It's frustrating as crap and if it happens during a game I actually care about (like VT) then I will be super pissed.
