Those closer to swimming,....


including yourself, are probably best suited to answer my question. I doubt anyone expects the VT program in swimming to challenge the national powers but, at what point does cutting costs become a worse idea than cutting the program? Note I am not advocating that at all for swimming, or any other sport, as I believe a broad based athletic program is an asset to the university. However, if VT is not going to try and compete at some acceptable level then I must question the expenditure. I also realize there are probably underlying factors attributable to Title IX.
