5 of the 6 members of the BEFC you're referring to are in the ACC now.

The ACC is still missing WVU, but we have the rest (VT, Miami, Pitt, Syracuse, and BC). I'm convinced that the ACC needs to fix the situation with WVU at some point and add them. I'm also not opposed to adding Temple as well. After watching Miami, Boston College, and Georgia Tech hire away Temple's coaches, I think Temple would contribute, and I like the idea of a Philly presence.

I blame the Miami downturn on Nevin Shapiro more than on the ACC. Miami was devastated by the sanctions and the long delay by the NCAA to even levy them, and they haven't had a really impressive coach since. It looked like Mark Richt would get them going after recruiting very well, but it didn't last.
