After sharing a stadium with the Dolphins, why would the Marlins want another multi sport stadium. They had been trying for years to get a baseball stadium, like the other MLB teams have.
Considering when Miami left to play in the Dolphins stadium, seems like their hand was forced. OB was torn down in 2008 and Miami announced their move in August 2008. The county had decided not to renovate the OB because they were trying to keep the Marlins in Miami.
