It's not like the only choices here are "catastrophic" or "no big deal."


Saw an article a couple days ago by a virologist saying a few key points:

1 - The initial models that were used to justify shutting the country down grossly (and irresponsibly) overestimated the spread rate.

2 - Re-running the models with available data through April 20 pointed to C-19 being about 2x-2.5x as bad as a bad year of the flu. Make no mistake, that is a bad thing. And absolutely worthy of some aggressive medical and social countermeasures to combat it. But also hard to justify the trillions we have spent and sacrificed on those countermeasures.
