Goldman Sachs call Sunday night

GS had a call with 1,500 of their clients Sunday night. They said earnings for 2020 will be down 15 to 20%.

Most stocks are priced based on earnings growth. Some dividends, but all the high flyers have high PE ratios because of the expectation that they've built enormously scalable businesses that grow profits at a higher clip than expenses.

The question you are asking might be, "What's the floor in a negative earnings growth environment".

I don't know, but if you start hearing people say "book value"......game over
