We may be saying the same thing just in a different way
When a person says the "NCAA," then people have to realize there are 2 different components that make up the "NCAA;"
1. People who work directly for the NCAA and are not direct representatives for a member (aka school). Examples include: Mark Emmert, Vivek Murthy, Mary Sue Coleman (Association of American Universities), Dennis McDough (The Markle Foundation), Ken Chenault (General Catalyst), and Grant Hill (Atlanta Hawks).
2. People who directly represent a particular school while performing duties on behalf of the NCAA. Examples include: Eli Capilouto (University of Kentucky), Renu Khator (University of Houston), John DeGioia (Georgetown University), Sue Henderson (New Jersey City University), Tori Murden McClure (Spalding University), and Burns Hagis (Oklahoma State University).
So when I said that the "schools are so slow to change the rules," I was referring to the second group of people affiliated with the NCAA. Not the first group of people.
