I'm still figuring that out for myself too.
Down 50# here (235 to 185), but been in maintenance mode for about four months now. In a perfect world, I'd drop another 7 lbs or so, but each additional pound seems to get harder and harder to shed. I kinda decided I can be happy at 185.
It just doesn't seem fair that losing 2 lbs requires a week of dedicated effort, but gaining 2 lbs can happen with one cheeseburger.
Best I've been able to figure is just hop on the scale every day and if you find it's creeped back up, then get disciplined again for a couple weeks. Been yo-yo'ing about +/- 3 lbs that way.
But now that I know what it feels like to have my weight down to what it was in college, I definitely don't want to go back. Lots more energy and, other than one knee, lots less joint pain.
