Heck, when we were at VT, Hep C was called "non-A non-B". That's what


started my sister's downfall. Non-A non-B destroyed her liver. Transplant in '83, one month before blood starts being screened for HIV. She had 185 units of blood product in a 23 hour surgery. Died in '87 ...AIDS related (actually TB). Which is why no one gets that much blood anymore.

Now there are vaccines and treatments. Truly remarkable progress.
