At this point and cost, college is overrated for a large portion...


of the population. Unless you definitely need your degree in your field (most sciences), would be much better off going to community college or straight into the workforce.

Have a friend who was essentially kicked out of college, but lived the college life in Blacksburg for 10+ years. Then decided to get serious, enrolled in New River Community College in their Instrumentation and Control Automation Technology (I believe that is correct from looking at their website) and in 3 years is making six figures in Raleigh, travels to Atlanta and Denver regularly. He left NRCC making $60,000+ and all of his fellow graduates had multiple job offers as soon as they graduated.
