Why only seven conference games?


That's not going to fly.

In a 16-team league with four quads, the best rotation is a 9-game schedule where you play all three of the other teams in your own quad and two each from the other three quads.

You can play all three in your own quad, the entirety of a second quad and one opponent from the other two quads to get to 9 also, but I like the other approach better.

An 8-game conference schedule is trickier to manage when there are four quads.
