If there are 3 divisions of 5, then how do you determine


which 5 teams from the other 2 divisions a team plays in a given year? In basketball it is a non-issue because most conferences play 18 conference games (play remaining 4 teams twice for 8 games and the teams in the other 2 divisions once for 10 games). However, does the math still work for 9 games?
