Sure, most trips can be handled with an on-demand model much like a taxi. Of course there would be times when you need the vehicle to be on hand continuously. What you've got there are simply two different rental rates.

Like I said, until the market figures it out your car isn't going anywhere. But your scenario is not something so strange and obscure that it's impossible to predict.
