Not sure I agree with that assumption

I think the "ride sharing"/Uber will remain strong in urban areas, but people living outside of that will most definitely want to own their own car. People in suburban and rural areas have further to travel for school, work, play, etc. Automobile ownership allows far more freedom of travel.

There's something about car ownership that screams, "America." Whether it be EVs, Hybrids, or ICE powered automobiles, America has always had a love affair with automobiles, and probably always will, no matter how they are powered.
