I don't disagree which is why it would be interesting to see what


would happen if the Big Ten or SEC decided to strike out on their own. Both conferences have a large enough and established fan base which can't be ignored. At least I don't see a scenario where all the providers would decide to not broadcast either channel. Someone would pick up either channel because they know what it could mean for potentially new customers. Now the Big Ten and SEC probably would see the same payout as they currently see, but I suspect it would be significantly more than the Pac-12's current payout.
