How do you know the Pac-12 has not put out informal feelers with either?

It is even possible they did it prior to the launch of the network. If ESPN or Fox was willing to do business with the Pac-12 and the Pac-12 felt it was getting a horrible deal (maybe even worse than the ACC deal), then does it make good business sense for a conference to agree to it even though they feel like they are bending over and taking it up the tailpipe?
