They're almost definitely not choking.

This was a game between two teams that are winning about 1/3 of their conference games. I know people are making a big deal about trying to make the conference tournament, but there's nothing serious at stake in these games that would cause any of these players to be folding under extreme pressure or whatever. They did the same thing they've been doing all year in even the most meaningless games: a) struggle out of the bullpen and b) get unlucky. That's what close baseball games are: luck and bullpen.

It's baseball. About 40% of the games are going to be coin flips in the best of circumstances and they only play 30 conference games. College baseball seasons are basically lotteries. We're only two games behind GT in the division standings right now, and they're like 85 spots ahead of us in the RPI or something.

The only surprising thing about the 12th inning today was that both teams didn't score the same number of runs and accidentally end up playing for another 2 hrs.
