NC has Extension agents in nearly every local. They can ID grass type and

give you resources to help manage. I am 60 miles from you and have a beautiful Zoysia lawn and
a side lot of centipede. Both can be "invaded" by Common Bermuda which is wiry and thinner than the other and nearly impossible to eradicate. Right now you should mow it short and apply a fertilizer with a pre-emergent (crabgrass preventer) to prevent Crabgrass and summer weeds. If it is centipede use a phosphorus free fertilizer or it will croak. There are "Weed and Feed for centipede" products but they don't have a pre-emergent. Bayer makes a product with all three (fertilizer-preemergent and weed killer)

Look up your local extension agent! If you have mostly common bermuda best to "Round Up" and start over in my opinion.
