That age is another level of complexity


Is there alcohol abuse (and possibly long term) in conjunction with the Benzo? The reason that I ask is that is a possibly one two punch to the treatment. Also risk factors at that age include possible high BP and other maladies that impact treatment. Has this individual hit rock bottom?

It is going to be a difficult discussion and expect a lot of pushback and denial and lying. As a Schedule IV it doesn't get the attention that is needed.
