Sorry to hear, I don't know the answer but maybe some areas to explore


Is the person employed? Is there an employee assistance program, although I can imagine not wanting the employer having too much insight. Also if they have health insurance, most have a number to call and cover some treatment options. Or maybe if the insurance has a nurse hotline, they can call that just to get pointed in the right direction for the next step.

Fingers crossed, hope the person can get the support they need! In the meantime, try to be available as much as possible just to let them talk.
