Sadly it is going to be a tuff struggle

There are many types of Benzos and each has a multitude of influencing factors. Dependency comes in many forms and symptoms, all stuff that you probably already are aware of based on what you have described.

I would have your family member contact a local PCP and self-admit if possible into a recovery facility. Benzo is nothing to mess with. I don't know that area well except that this is part of the Mary Washington health care and I have no measure. I would recommend heading North and seeking help in the NOVA area with the ultimate goal of getting into a long term in-patient treatment facility and then move to an outpatient facility. This is going to be a long process and "falling off the wagon" is always a possibility. But I would first get into a treatment facility. Depending on the age of the individual other vitals have to be monitored as well.
