The B1G is a great conference athletically & academically, but lacks rival-

ries for Virginia Tech. When we joined the ACC we had instant rivalries from being close by to schools and playing others in the Big East. Also, the bus rides for non-revenue sports would often be 6-8 hours. They are often the forgotten student athlete that will get more visibility with the Conference Channel coming.

So while we could do well IMHO in either the B1G or the SEC, I think we are way better off making the ACC a better conference with natural rivals and many outstanding academic schools that we build relationships with often through athletic events and happenings.
